Manufactured from a cylindrical, thin-walled tube, corrugated stainless steel hoses are made from rolled strips and is welded at the seam. Impressed into this tube is a corrugated annular profile, which helps each convolution to be perpendicular to the centre line of the hose. This gives it a superior advantage of movement, wherein each corrugation is relatively independent of the movement from each other. Also, the annular corrugated hose body is flexible and provides a pressure-tight core for the assembly.
India Flex offers corrugated flexible stainless steel hoses from 6mm (1/4’) to up to 300 mm (12’). Apart from the standard pitch, the other two types of India Flex corrugated stainless steel hoses available are; open-pitch and close-pitch. Here, in an ‘open-pitch’ corrugated hose, the corrugations are more widely spaced, while in a ‘closed-pitch’ corrugated hose, the corrugations are more closely spaced.
